Dutch players to take a one-minute stand against racism

November 21 – Players in the Netherlands’ top two divisions will not play the first minute of all matches this weekend, standing still in silence to draw attention to racism, the first country to take such action.

November 15 – The criticism of the Spanish FA’s (RFEF) decision to move its Super Cup to Saudi Arabia in a €130 million deal is now alienating broadcast partners with state broadcaster RTVE saying it will not bid for the TV rights due to human rights concerns.

Spanish FA warned to make it rights sales operations legal

November 14 – The Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) who are controversially taking their Super Cup to Saudi in January for the first season of a €120 million three-year deal, have now fallen foul of Spain’s competition authorities over its invitation to tender for rights to the competition.

November 14 – Manchester City’s Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva has been suspended for one match – the key Premier League clash with Chelsea – over a tweet he sent to team-mate Benjamin Mendy, and fined £50,000.

Valcke appeals to European Court of Human Rights for help to overturn his ban

November 12 – Just over a year after being hammered by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), Jerome Valcke, the forgotten man of world football mismanagement, is refusing to give up and is reported to be going to the European Court of Human Rights in a final attempt to have his 10-year ban from the game overturned and clear his name.
