October 4 – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), until last week a picture of positivity, progress and growth, has reacted swiftly to the multiple allegations of sexual harassment that resulted in the firing of North Carolina Coach Paul Riley but which senior players have said is also a wider league problem.
October 1 – National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side North Carolina Courage have dismissed their English head coach Paul Riley following allegations of sexual misconduct. He becomes the third NWSL coach to be fired for misconduct since August.
September 27 – Concacaf has disqualified Suriname’s Moengo Tapoe and Honduras’ CD Olimpia from the Concacaf League with immediate effect because of “serious breaches of integrity” following an investigation into Ronnie Brunswijk’s 54-minute cameo in the match and visit to the opponent’s dressing room with cash in hand.
September 24 – Mexican clubs are set to retain their grip on the Concacaf Champions League for a remarkable thirteenth consecutive season, with LigaMX sides Club America and Monterrey now scheduled to play off in the final at the BBVA Stadium in Monterrey on October 28.
September 23 – The second and last of North America’s Leagues Cup in its current format – an eight-team competition between the top MLS and LigaMX clubs – was played out last night in the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
September 23 – Concacaf have launched a probe into Suriname vice-president Ronnie Brunswijk’s eventful cameo for his club Inter Moengotapoe in a Concacaf League match against Honduran side CD Olimpia.

September 22 – Concacaf has unveiled a major expansion of its Champions League and its club competition structures that completely overhaul existing formats and significantly beef up its three individual regions and bring them into a joined up system.
September 22 – The United Soccer League has announced the launch of a professional women’s league that will operate as the second tier of women’s club soccer in the US.
September 17 – The festering dispute between the US women’s football team (USWNT) and their national federation over equal pay has escalated further with the players union deriding the latest offer as a publicity stunt.
September 17 – Concacaf has redrawn the route to the 2024 men’s Olympic football tournament with the U-20 teams deciding the region’s representatives in Paris.
September 24 – Concacaf has said that it “recognises the merits” of FIFA’s plan to create a new international match calendar – which would include a biennial World Cup – and that it will look at the proposals with an “open mind” and “positive engagement”.
September 14 – Caribbean Football Union (CFU) President Randy Harris has backed FIFA’s plans for a biennial World Cup, arguing that it would offer more “high-quality playing opportunities” for his member associations.
September 9 – Emphatic wins for Canada and the US in the third matches of the Concacaf World Cup qualifying final round, have put them back in touching distance of group leaders Mexico who managed a draw in their third game in this international window.
September 6 – This summer’s Gold Cup winners USA have stumbled in their start to their Qatar 2022 qualifying campaign managing only draw in their two opening fixtures. In contrast Gold Cup and Nations League runners up Mexico have opened with two wins.
August 27 – Last week Concacaf launched the revamped competitions and schedules for its women’s championships under the W Concacaf banner. Included in the initiative was a #WeBelong social campaign.
