February 18 – Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City have both announced digital media upgrades with Liverpool relaunching their social portal via Vixlet, and City Football Group (CFG) shifting three of their club brands to web development platform Wix.com who become the clubs’ Official Website Design & Hosting Partner.

Top Eleven launches 2016 game with Mourinho’s training tips

February 10 – Top Eleven has launched the 2016 version of its online football game and added in functionality allowing game players to train their squads and manage their clubs. The game, which has over 130 million registered players on Android and iOS apps, has also upgraded its browser-based version of the game. A Facebook version is planned.

Second Milan giant teams up with China’s Le Sports

February 5 – AC Milan have followed local rivals Internazionale in announcing a partnership with Le Sports, the Chinese internet company. The former LeTV is becoming the Italian club’s official new media partner in mainland China. The deal is said to “span three consecutive seasons” culminating with 2017-18.
