August 1 – Inter Milan has extended its partnership with Sixtus Italia, a leading supplier of sports wellness and physiotherapy products, through the end of the 2026/27 season.
The renewed agreement reinforces one of the longest-running collaborations in Italian football, with a relationship dating back 40 years — though the need for sports wellness has never been higher.
Through the extension, Sixtus will continue as the Official Supplier to Inter, providing the club with essential health and wellness resources.
This covers the locker room basics such as tape or bandages, but also some hi-tech electro-medical equipment such TECAR therapy devices, cryotherapy systems, and laser treatment technologies to aid recovery.
Last season Inter Milan played 38 Serie A matches, 15 Champions League matches, four Coppa Italia matches, four FIFA Club World Cup matches, and two Supercoppa Italiana matches in Saudi Arabia, all whilst having the oldest squad in each competition.
The renewal strengthens Inter’s ecosystem of high-level medical and training support ahead of the next two campaigns, with the club pushing forward with its focus on athlete recovery and injury prevention to its ageing stars, which continue to be a cornerstone to their success.
It was the fresh legs of 37-year-old Inter veteran Francesco Acerbi that delivered them the crucial equaliser in the 96th minute of the Champions League semi final last year after all.
“This is a bond based on quality and caring for athletes’ well-being, which continues in a renewed commitment to excellence,” Inter said.
“Sixtus is a market leader in Italy and supplies most of the professional clubs in Serie A and B, the FIGC and the Italy national basketball team.”
Inter’s pre-season schedule, delayed due to the club’s involvement in the Club World Cup in June, will roll out over the next couple of weeks – facing Monaco, Monza and Olympiacos before returning home for the start of the domestic campaign.
They will then begin their new Serie A season against Torino on August 25, after missing out on the 2024/25 title by a whisker.
