Bulgarian league to launch first Fantasy Football game

July 16 – The Bulgarian Professional Football League (BPFL) has launched its first official fantasy league in collaboration with FFStar Bulgaria.

“With the start of the new season, the Bulgarian Professional Football League is launching a new and exciting initiative – BPFL Fantasy, the official fantasy game of the First League (efbet League)! In partnership with the FFStars platform, BPFL offers all fans a free, dynamic and completely renewed fantasy game in which you can take on the role of a manager and fight for prestige, fame and special prizes.

“BPFL and FFStars are joining forces to offer an even better experience for all football fans. If you haven’t participated yet – now is the time,” the BPFL announced.

It is the first time Fantasy Football involving the creation of a virtual team of real football players from the Bulgarian First League has been attempted.

The format will follow similar fantasy leagues across Europe with points collected depending on the real performance of the selected players – goals, assists, clean sheets, cards and other statistics.

The better your players perform, the higher you climb in the general ranking.

At the end of each round, the system automatically calculates points based on real matches from the championship. The ranking is updated after each weekend.

During the national team break in September, the Bulgarian Professional League and FFStars will announce awards for the top 10 managers in the general ranking.

BPFL Fantasy will be available to all iOS and Android users via the Apple Store and Google Play.
