July 15 – The English Football League (EFL) has announced a new two-season partnership with Rexel and Denmans, who become their official electrical wholesaler until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The agreement, revealed at a launch event last week, marks the first time the electrical supply companies have entered English professional football sponsorship. It includes a nationwide programme of fan and community initiatives designed to support grassroots football and strengthen local connections across the EFL’s 72 member clubs.
As an Official Supporter of the EFL, Rexel and Denmans will have a presence at the EFL’s five Wembley finals in addition to exposure on the EFL website, digital and social media channels.
As part of the deal, the Powering Dreams Football Kit Campaign will see Rexel and Denmans provide kits to hundreds of grassroots football clubs. The initiative is positioned as a way of investing in youth football and local community teams, supporting long-term player development pathways.
The deal was launched at an internal event featuring former England international John Barnes, ex-Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison, and broadcaster Michelle Owen – also featuring a discussion on the importance of community football and supporting the next generation of players.
No financial details of the agreement have been disclosed, but the EFL confirmed the sponsorship will run through the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons.
The first phase of grassroots activations is expected to roll out during the 2025/26 campaign.
Natalie Moss, Chief Digital Marketing & Transformation Officer Rexel UK, said: “We’re incredibly proud to deepen our commitment to football through these significant partnerships.
“This collaboration goes far beyond the pitch; it’s about investing in the heart of our communities, nurturing talent, creating unforgettable experiences and ultimately powering the dreams of individuals and families who live and breathe the game.”
EFL Chief Commercial Officer, Ben Wright added: “With Rexel and Denmans branches situated in the heart of EFL communities, the partnership demonstrates the League’s ability to offer on the ground local activation, on a national scale.
“We’re proud to be Rexel and Denmans’ first-ever English football partner and look forward to helping build long-term engagement in our communities between customers, colleagues, Clubs and supporters.”
