May 20 – UEFA Champions League finals are no longer just about Champions League finals.
On May 30, before the final is played between PSG and Inter Milan, UEFA will stage ‘The Ultimate Champions Legends Tournament’ at the state-of-the-art SAP Garden arena in Munich’s Olympia Park.
Four 5-a-side teams featuring some of the game’s most iconic names including Thiago Alcántara, Franck Ribéry, Kaká, Andrés Iniesta, Luís Figo, Clarence Seedorf, Lothar Matthäus, Marco Materazzi, and Jay-Jay Okocha – will compete for the title of Ultimate Champions.
The tournament is part of the four-day UEFA Champions Festival partner activations, live entertainment and appearances by football legends taking place from May 29 to June 1.
The SAP Garden Arena holds 11,000, and is the home of the Bayern Munich basketball team and the EHV Red Bull Munich ice-hockey team.
UEFA said that some tickets were still available.
